Catherine M. Velcich
Catherine earned her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and became the Administrator for Harrington, Thompson, Acker & Harrington, Ltd., in 1991. She is responsible for the daily operations of the firm. In addition to office management tasks, Catherine handles the integration of client case management and technology which is crucial to a practice as wide-spread as Harrington, Thompson.
Catherine has been a member of the Association of Legal Administrators since 1992 and has previously served on the Board of Directors for its Greater Chicago Chapter in the capacity of Membership Chair and Treasurer. She continues to serve the Chapter as a member of the survey committee.
Catherine has always concentrated her management work in the service industry. Prior to her move to the legal environment, Catherine worked for a private investment firm. There she acted as a liaison between the investors and their attorneys and accountants.
In her spare time, Catherine utilizes her leadership skills by serving on many Boards and committees in the South Suburbs of Chicago. She is a Director, and currently the Vice President, of the Portiuncula Center’s Advisory Board, a Director on the Franciscan Sisters of the Sacred Heart Foundation Board, and serves as a delegate to the Archdiocese of Chicago’s Parish Council.
